The Electronic Trading Team at Phillip Securities Japan offers Japanese and overseas companies the ability to trade on three domestic exchanges: Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), Osaka Stock Exchange (OSE), and Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM).

Ercan Serdar Armutcu has been a professional working in the Asset Management and Electronic Trading space since the mid 90s. In his present role at Phillip, Mr Armutcu is responsible for leading the Electronic Team. Previously , Mr Armutcu was Head of Electronic Trading Analytics and Algo Product development at Mizuho Securities in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to coming to Japan, he has held various roles in Australia at Credit Suisse, ITG, State Street Global Advisors. Mr Armutcu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science with Honors specializing in Optimization Methods from the University of New South Wales.
Nobu currently heads up the electronic sales trading team and brings a wealth of experience from his long career in electronic trading teams in the Japanese securities industry, including companies such as Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers. He is a veteran in the Japanese Equities market. He has degrees from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo in Business Administration and English Literature. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time in his second home in Hawaii.
Shigeru currently contributes to the team as a sales trader on the electronic trading team and brings a wealth of knowledge of futures trading from past experience at Interactive Brokers, Trading Technologies, and working for a domestic commodities brokerage. He holds a Masters of Financial Analysis from LaTrobe University in Australia and a Bachelors from Meiji University.
As the longest serving member of the team, Takeru is currently working with financial institutions for direct and agency sales of Japanese and foreign equities etc. He is also engaged in Asian equity portfolio advisory services to domestic fund managers. Before joining Phillip, he worked in sales and corporate strategy for other domestic and foreign securities companies in Japan. He holds a Masters degree in Business Law from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
At Phillip Japan, Lisa is currently engaged in client onboarding, vendor relationship management, marketing, and other business development. Before joining the Team, Lisa worked 4+ years in a front-facing role at an international commodities brokerage firm and 2 years in back office finance and accounting support roles in sell-side and buy-side companies in Tokyo. She holds Bachelors Degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Washington in Seattle. In her spare time, she enjoys curling up with a book, taking long runs, surfing and snowboarding.
